We asked our new principal to answer the following questions:

Here are his responses.

South Elmentary Welcomes Jade Morton

 Mr.  Morton and his wife Lorielle have two daughters, Mason and Finley.  Also in their family are two dogs and two cats!

When asked about hobbies, Mr. Morton stated that he loves spending time with his family and loves the outdoors.  He also has a passion for sports.

My all time favorite book is A River Runs Through it. It’s book about the American West, family and relationships. My favorite kids book is Fish is Fish.

I grew up in Bozeman, MT and went to college at the University of Montana Western where I played football and wrestled. I got my Masters in Educational Leadership through Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT. I have been in education for 10 years and this will be my first in Administration. My first teaching job was in a remote village in the Bering Sea. I have been in the Lander school district for a total of four wonderful years. I am so excited to be a part of the South Elementary Family and am looking forward to an outstanding year. I can’t wait to meet and build relationships with all the kids, families and staff.
